Data were collected using a managerial competencies self-assessment questionnaire consisting of two parts: 1) Demographic data of head nurses. 2) Competencies assessment questionnaire developed by the researcher, which the sample used to self-assess their managerial competencies. The results for the overall managerial competency scale showed that the majority of sample members (95.9%) had an average level of managerial competencies, while only 4.1% had a high level of managerial competencies.
