Evaluation of the Quality of Nursing Care from the Point of View of Patients at Latakia University Hospital

Quality in healthcare institutions is a sound approach to providing distinguished healthcare services that meet patient needs and gain their satisfaction. The current study aimed to evaluate the quality of nursing care at Latakia University Hospital from the point of view of patients. Methods: The study was conducted using a descriptive approach on a sample of 100 patients selected using a convenience sample from the internal medicine, surgery, and clinics departments at Latakia University Hospital in 2024. Results: The highest percentage of sample members rated the quality of nursing care as average. More than three-quarters of the sample considered the level of psychological and social care average, and the level of physical care was low. The highest percentage considered the quality of communication with patient's average.
Conclusion: The quality of nursing care at Latakia Hospital is average from the patients' perspective. Recommendations: Therefore, it is recommended to plan to enhance and improve it by implementing appropriate training programs and providing appropriate resources.
