The Degree to which Fourth Grade Teachers of Basic Education Use Educational Graphics

A Field Study in Lattakia City

Abstract

The research's aim is to determine the degree to which fourth grade teachers use educational graphics, and disclosure the differences in the degree of use their according to the variables of experience and academic qualification. The research Sample reached (136) teachers, the descriptive method was used, and a questionnaire consisting of (48) items which it is a list of educational graphics:(Illustrations, Charts, Serial, Sketch, Maps and Globes, Posters, Caricature, and Cartoons).

   The results confirmed that the degree to which teachers use educational graphics came to a medium degree and was in the following order:

_ There is a statistically significant difference between the answers^, averages of the research sample members from teachers on the questionnaire as a whole, and on the following sub-axes:

(Illustrations, Charts, and Serial graphics) depending on the variable number of years of experience.

_ There is a difference between the answers^, averages of the teachers on the questionnaire as a whole, and on the following sub-axes: (Illustrations, Serial graphics, Caricature graphics, Cartoons besides the Posters, Maps and Globes), this is according to the variable of academic qualification.

_Licensed teachers and those who have over 10 years of experience excel in using educational graphics.
