Abstract

The aim of this research was to identify the effect of using the circular debate strategy on the acquisition of Arabic grammar among a sample of (46) fifth-grade students, divided into two groups: an experimental group and a control group. To achieve the research objectives, a quasi-experimental approach was used. The researcher applied an educational program based on the circular debate strategy to the experimental group, while the control group was subjected to the traditional method. A test of Arabic grammar was also prepared. The research reached the following results: The students of the experimental group, who studied using the circular debate strategy, outperformed the students of the control group, who studied using the traditional method, in the direct post-test. There was an effect of the circular debate strategy on the learning of Arabic grammar, and there were statistically significant differences between the average scores of the students of the experimental group in the pre-test and post-test of the Arabic grammar test. These differences favored the direct post-test.
