الملخص

The study aimed to identify the level of intellectual security among university students as well as to detect differences in the level of intellectual security and its sub- dimensions  according to the progress in academic years and academic specialization.

The study was conduct on a sample of 233 students from the college of education, including members from the department of psychological counseling, curricula and teaching methods, and  the classroom teacher.

In the study an intellectual security scale prepared by two researcher was used after verifying its sincerity and stability in local environment .

The study ended up:

-Revealing the existence of the presence of an average level of overall intellectual security and its sub-dimension, the political dimension and the social dimension, and a high level in the religious dimension.

-There are no differences in the level of overall intellectual security and its sub-dimension, the social dimension and the religious dimension according to the progresses in academic years and There are differences in the  political dimension in favor of second –year.

-There are  no differences in the level of intellectual security and its sub- dimension according to academic specialization.
