معلومات ومواقف طلاب طب الأسنان بجامعة تشرين حول التهاب الكبد B
Abstract
Introduction: Hepatitis B is a global public health problem affecting nearly 2 billion people around the world. The most vulnerable groups are health workers, especially those who work in the field of dentistry, specifically students, because of lack of clinical experience. The aim: To assess the knowledge and attitudes of hepatitis B among dental student in Tishreen University. Methods: Descriptive deigned was used in current study, the self-administered questionnaire distributed to (200) participants through convenient random sampling of fourth and fifth year students of Tishreen University's Faculty of Dentistry in April 2016. Results: The results of the current study showed that most of study sample (80%) had checked for hepatics B virus antibodies level but only (60%) of them received vaccine, also (89%) of students had good knowledge regarding high risk groups for illness, (92.5%) of study sample their answer were correct that hepatitis B transmitted from contaminated blood and (85%) from needle injuries. (81.5%) of sample agreed that their job increased the risk of infection and (78%) of them may transmit the infection to the patient if they are carries the disease, and 89% agreed that necessary to receive vaccine. Conclusion: the study concludes that (79%) of study sample have good knowledge about Hepatitis B and (68%) of them had positive attitudes. Therefore, recommended that students continue improving knowledge level, assume more positive attitude by accumulating clinical experience, and continuous education about HB, as well as hepatitis B vaccination and checking the anti-HBs level, is a matter of necessity.
يعتبر التهاب الكبد بي مشكلة صحية عامة عالمية حيث يصيب ما يقرب من 2 مليار شخص حول العالم. أكثر الفئات المعرضة للإصابة به ونقله هم العاملون في مجال الرعاية الصحية ،خاصة من يعمل في مجال طب الأسنان وبالتحديد الطلاب وذلك بسبب نقص الخبرة السريرية. الهدف: تقييم معلومات ومواقف طلاب طب الأسنان بجامعة تشرين حول التهاب الكبد B. مواد وطرائق البحث: استخدمت الدراسة الحالية المنهج الوصفي، وزع الاستبيان الذاتي على (200) مشارك من خلال أخذ عينات عشوائية ملائمة من طلاب السنة الرابعة والخامسة لكلية طب الأسنان بجامعة تشرين خلال شهر نيسان 2016. النتائج: أظهرت نتائج الدراسة الحالية أن معظم أفراد عينة الدراسة (80%) قد تحققوا من مستوى الأجسام المضادة للفيروسات الكبدية B، ولكن (60%) فقط من الطلاب تلقوا اللقاح، و (89%) منهم لديهم معلومات جيدة فيما يتعلق بالمجموعات عالية الخطورة للمرض و (92.5%) من عينة الدراسة كانت إجاباتهم صحيحة بأن التهاب الكبد بي ينتقل عن طريق الدم الملوث و (85%) منهم من خلال إصابات الأبر الملوثة. و(81.5%) من العينة وافقوا على أن وظائفهم تزيد من خطر الإصابة بالعدوى، و (78%) منهم على أنهم قد ينقلوا العدوى للمريض اذا كانوا حاملين للمرض، و (89%) وافقوا على ضرورة تلقي اللقاح .الخلاصة: خلصت الدراسة إلى أن (79%) من أفراد عينة الدراسة لديهم معلومات جيدة و (68%) منهم لديهم مواقف إيجابية حول التهاب الكبد B و لذلك أوصت الدراسة الطلاب بمواصلة تحسين مستوى المعرفة، واتخاذ مواقف أكثر إيجابية من خلال تراكم الخبرة السريرية، والتثقيف المستمر حول التهاب الكبد B، فضلاً عن ضرورة أخذ اللقاح ضد التهاب الكبد B و إجراء الفحوصات اللازمة.
