Abstract

The present study aimed to examine the effectiveness of a training workshop on selected rehabilitation programs for persons with disabilities in improving the knowledge level of a sample of students from the Faculty of Education at the University of Latakia. The researcher used a quasi-experimental design. The sample consisted of 26 male and female students selected through simple random sampling. The study employed a knowledge test on rehabilitation programs for persons with disabilities and a training workshop designed by the researcher, including Portage, Psychomotor Intervention, and Sexual Education. The test was administered before and after the workshop to assess its effectiveness. Results showed a low level of knowledge before the intervention and a clear improvement afterward. The findings confirmed the effectiveness of the workshop in enhancing students’ knowledge. The study recommends integrating similar training programs into pre-service teacher education to strengthen competencies in special and inclusive education.
