This research aimed to identify the degree of availability of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) standards among kindergarten teachers in the Latakia City, and to determine whether there were statistically significant differences at the significance level (a=0.05) in the degree of availability of these standards according to a number of variables. To achieve the research’s objective, the descriptive approach was used, and a situational test was adopted as the main data collection tool. The instrument was applied to a sample of 164 kindergarten teachers in the Latakia City.
The results showed that the degree of availability of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) standards among kindergarten teachers in Latakia City was moderate. The results also indicated no statistically significant differences among the sample based on the variables of numbers of years of experience and attending courses in the field of educational technology. While, statistically significant differences were found based on the variables of kindergarten type and academic qualification. Based on the results, the researcher presented several proposals, most notably: the development of professional teacher qualification diploma programs or master’s programs in educational technology for early childhood education based on the (ISTE) standards.
