The Impact of Yemeni Opposition Trends on the Overthrow of The monarchy in Yemen 1962-1955.

Abstract

The research talks about the suffering of the Yemeni people from tight isolation from the outside world during the rule of the Imams from Al-Hamid Al-Din, who mean to keep the people in a state of backwardness and ignorance during the rule of the Zaidi imams, in order to remain in a dark shell while insisting not to keep pace with the cultural progress witnessed by other Arab countries. So the research shows the ways the opposition took to get rid of this state of isolation against this people.

    The research thus highlights the main movements of the opposition to change the monarchy to make it republican by carrying out several coup d 'etat against this tyrannical regime. The research explains the great efforts made by those exposed to the overthrow of Imam Ahmed Hamiddin, especially the scenes of the execution and assassination that accompanied the state of isolation imposed by the monarchy were still very much in sight. The opponents obtained the support of several Yemeni tribes and sheikhs, which contributed to a kind of coordination Relative organization took    theform of gatherings involving intellectuals and officers.
