Abstract

The employment of married women is a social Issue that has sparked widespread debate due to the challenges It may pose In achieving a balance between work demands and family responsibilities. This study stemmed from the question: What is the Impact of women's employment on family stability? It aimed to explore the extent to which work affects women’s family commitments and marital harmony, particularly in light of their pursuit of self-fulfillment and professional ambitions.

The research adopted a descriptive approach and used a questionnaire as the main tool for data collection, with a sample consisting of 20 married women in the city of Latakia.

The results indicated that most of the participating women were able to balance their work and family lives, and that the nature of their jobs played a role in this balance. The findings also showed that most husbands offered support in performing household tasks, and that women's employment did not lead to major family problems. Moreover, financial necessity appeared to be the primary motivation for working under current economic conditions, and spousal support was found to be a key factor In helping women successfully manage both their professional and domestic roles.
