University youth attitudes towards women's work and education

Abstract

The aim of the research was to study the attitudes of university youth towards women’s work and education among students of the

Department of Sociology at Lattakia University. To achieve this goal, the descriptive analytical approach was used, the social survey method by sample, where a regular random sample of (274) university students from the Department of Sociology at Lattakia University was drawn, and a questionnaire on university youth attitudes towards women's work and education was applied to them, which includes (70) items, prepared by the researcher. After collecting the data from the targeted sample, it was unpacked and analyzed using the (SPSS) program. After applying the appropriate statistical methods for the research, the following results were extracted: There are positive attitudes among university youth towards women's work and education among students of the Department of Sociology at Lattakia University at an average degree on the total score of the questionnaire.

There are no statistically significant differences between the average scores of the research sample members' answers on the axis of women's work according to the gender variable, while there are statistically significant differences between the average scores of the research sample members' answers on the axis of women's work according to the mother's work variable.
