Motives for girl's migration decision from the point of view of female students at Lattakia University A field study on female students of the Faculties of Arts and Humanities and Medicine

Abstract

This research deals with the motives of a girl's decision to emigrate abroad from the point of view of Lattakia University students. This research aims to identify the most important social and economic motives for a girl's decision to emigrate abroad from the point of view of Lattakia University students. In addition to identifying the role of each of the variables of academic year, place of residence, scientific specialization, and family income in a girl's decision to emigrate abroad from the point of view of Lattakia University students. Among the most prominent results reached is that economic factors play a greater role than social factors as a motive for a girl to make the decision to emigrate abroad, the most important of which are (high cost of living), (desire to work and achieve financial independence), (acquiring new skills and experiences), and (poor service conditions), while social motives came in the lowest percentages, the most important of which are (I lack a loving and supportive family), (having friends abroad encourages me to emigrate), and (desire to marry a foreigner). There are statistically significant differences between the average responses of female students. attributed to the variable of scientific specialization in favor of theoretical specializations, academic year in favor of the first year, and family income.
