Abstract

The research discusses the French Revolution, which occurred in 1789, and which had a significant impact not only on france, but also on the entire world, it is considered one of the most important events to affect Europe after the reformation movement that occurred in the sixteenth century AD.

It also marked the beginning of anew era in Europe based on freedom and equality for every individual , it also created new theories of governance and the foundations of the state, its emergence also included economic and social development that led to the dominance of the bourgeois system over the world, as it was essentially based on a struggle between classes to liberate themselves from the tyranny of feudal lords who enjoyed political, economic, and social privileges that most of the French people were deprived of, therefore, it was necessary to reconsider the countrys internal condition.

The French people, whether they were landlords, peasants, or craftsmen, suffered from poor economic conditions, and the state treasury deteriorated to the point of bankruptcy, this led its contemporaries to consider it to have come at a time when humanity was finally liberated from accepting a system basedon the clergy, the aristocracy, and the king.
