Multiple intelligences among outstanding students and their relationship to self-efficacy A field study on basic education certificate students in the city of Lattakia
Abstract
The aim of the current research is to identify the profile of multiple intelligences of ouststanding ninth grade students in Lattakia city. It also aimed to identify the level of self-efficacy of students, and to determine which types of multiple intelligences are most closely linked to the self-efficacy.
To achieve the research objectives, the researcher adopted the Multiple Intelligences Scale (Al-Akkari, 2010) and the Self-Efficacy Scale (Abdullah and Akkad, 2008). The research sample consisted of (58) students who were chosen intentional according to the academic outcomes in the previous academic stage.
The research results showed that: Linguistic Intelligence dominates the profile of multiple intelligences for high-achieving students, as it is one of their highest intelligences, followed by Logical-mathematical intelligence, then social intelligence, and musical intelligence was one of their lowest. As for self-efficacy, it had a high level, and it was positively associated with all of multiples intelligences.
