Self-care for Asthma Patients

Abstract

The study aimed to evaluate the practices related to self-care measures among asthma patients and the factors affecting them. The sample consisted of (100) asthma patients who were present during the collection of study data and agreed to participate in it (the available sample was applied). The researcher used a Questioner to evaluate self-care practices among asthma patients, which was designed by the researcher in this research to suit his objectives. After unpacking the data, it was statistically processed and tabulated using the SPSS statistical program.

The most important results were: The majority of patients have an average level of care practices related to lifestyle, and about three-quarters of them have a good level of care practices related to adherence to treatment, while the highest percentage of them have an average level of care practices related to prevention of predisposing factors, and also have an average level of care practices related to asthma attacks, and it was shown that the majority of them have overall self-care practices for asthma at an average level.
