Abstract

This study Investigates the Strategic Role of Sovereign Wealth Funds in Financing Innovation and Promoting Economic Growth, With A Focus on Developing Countries Seeking to Diversify Their Resources and Address the Challenges of Structural Fragility. Based on the Descriptive and Analytical Approach Through a Review of Academic Literature and Reports, In Addition to Reviewing Selected International Experiences of Sovereign Funds.

The Results Demonstrates that these Funds Can be an Effective Tool for Supporting Research and Development, Financing Technology Projects, and Strengthening Digital Infrastructure, Thus Contributing to Creating an Environment Conducive to Innovation. The Study Also Focuses on The Challenges Facing Developing Countries, such as Weak Governance and Lack of Financing, and Shows How Sovereign Funds Can Contribute to Addressing Them Through Long-term Strategic Investments.

The findings suggest that strategic investment in the technology, renewable energy sectors Represents a Key Lever for achieving sustainable economic transformation, it Provides a Practical Framework for Enhancing the role of sovereign funds in supporting innovation and Development, While Discussing the Syrian Case as an Exceptional Model for Examining the Limits of the Applicability of these Mechanisms in Post-conflict Environmets.
