This research aims to clarify the indicators of banking credit activity, in addition to studying the development of banking credit activity indicators in Syria, studying the development of industrial development indicators in Syria, and finding a model that measures the relationship between banking credit activity indicators and industrial development indicators.
The research relied on a descriptive analytical approach, where time series extracted from statistical datasets for the years 2010-2023 were studied. The SPSS program was used to extract the results. Legal correlation was used to measure the strength of the relationship between banking credit indicators and industrial development indicators as a whole.
Among the most important findings of this research: There is a statistically significant relationship between banking facilities by type and industrial sector indicators, represented by two pairs of legal components, during the period 2010-2023. It also showed that loans secured by collateral had the highest impact on the legal component, in the opposite direction and with a significant impact value, indicating the high impact of this type of facility on the industrial sector. Furthermore, the magnitude of the impact of industrial sector indicators on banking facilities, by type, was acceptable, despite the strong correlation between them. This indicates the inability to develop the banking sector by raising industrial sector indicators.
