The research primarily aimed to study and define the concept of e-commerce, its importance, and various characteristics. It also aimed to identify and study the role of e-commerce in promoting international trade and focusing on its impact. It also aimed to identify the most important countries leading the field of e-commerce, led by the United States and China. This research relied on a descriptive and analytical approach.
The research reached several conclusions, the most important of which are: e-commerce has proven its ability to reach global markets and transcend geographical borders. Furthermore, e-commerce, thanks to digital transformation technologies, has contributed to increasing the transparency and security of commercial transactions over the Internet, all of which has helped to enhance the growth of international trade. The research demonstrated that the use of digital transformation technologies has helped improve e-commerce operations. The research also concluded that there are differences between developed and developing countries in the strategies and motivations for adopting e-commerce technologies to develop and enhance international e-commerce.
