Effect of Organic Fertilizer (Organic Fertilizer Extract and Humic Acid) on Seed Productivity of Two Soybean Genotypes (Glycine max L.)
Keywords:
Soybeans, Organic fertilizer, Humic Acid, Seed yieldAbstract
The research was carried out at Baksa village, Latakia Governorate, by the cultivation of Soybean (Glycine max L.) seeds (Sb44 and Sb273) in factorial arrangement using a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replicates.
The objective of this research was to study the effect of organic fertilizer extract (1:2 and 1:3) and Humic Acid (0, 1, 2 and 3 g/L), on some productivity characteristics of two genotypes.
Seed yield and several related traits were studied (number of pods on the plant (pod/plant), weight of pods on the plant (g/plant), number of seeds on the plant (seed/plant), weight of seeds on the plant (g/plant), weight of 100 seeds (g), clearance ratio (%), productivity (kg/ha) and harvest index (%).
The results showed a significant superiority of the Sb273 genotype over the
Sb44 genotype in pod weight, weight of seeds on the plant and seed productivity per unit area.
Furthermore, Organic fertilizer extract and Humic acid together showed a significant increase (P<0.05) in most of components of seed productivity, the highest productivity was obtained from seeds per unit area when using organic fertilizer extract (1:2) and Humic acid (3 g/L) of two genotypes.
