The Effect of Different Treatments on the Tissue Structure Factors of the Natural Syrian ore Containing Zeolite

Abstract

The influence of the treatment with HCl , NaOH and AlCl3 solutions, on the textural properties of natural Syrian zeolite ores from Tel Om'Ezen area was studied.

The results showed the increasing in pore voleum of the samples wich treated with HCl and NaOH, and also decreasing in the pore voleum for the sample treated with AlCl3.

The micro porosity was increasing for sample treated with HCl and rich more than 50% according to the untreated sample.

The pore radium was decreasing to 1.5nm.

The study also showed that the surface area was increased to 200.92 m2/g and 96.05m2/g for sample treated with HCl and NaOH, respectivily, according to natural sample wich was 55.25 m2/g.

The adsorption of nitrogen gas was proceded simply and physicaly because the energy of the adsorption was less than 20 KJ/mol.
