Abstract

This paper presents a solution method for treating multi-objective linear programming problems with heptadecagonal fuzzy parameters in both the objective functions and constraints. These parameters are treated as heptadecagonal fuzzy numbers. The proposed solution method is based on  of heptadecagonal fuzzy numbers, which consist of eight levels according to the value of  in interval  as follows:

The proposed method employs a weighted problem, where weights are determined based on a characteristic problem of multi-objective linear programming problems with coefficients defined by closed intervals associated with heptadecagonal fuzzy numbers and a chosen  value. Then transformed in to an equivalent problem, by solving this problem the decision maker obtains an efficient solution that satisfies their aspirations according to the selected  value. An illustrative numerical example is also given.
